All, for and through God

 

Text: Hebrews 2:10 (KJV)

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

 

Friends, we are created to bring glory and honour to God in all we do.  Man should not deliberately choose evil and rebel against God as our life and existence are encapsulated in God. We should not live to please ourselves rather live for the kingdom of God. Hence, what happens to you is unimportant but all consideration should be for God. Romans 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. We should not strive for selfish attainment but a passion that demands “all for God”. It is in so doing that God will be honoured and glorified through our life at last.

 

Interestingly, what should be demanded of us is a life in union with Christ in all.  Therefore, to live in oneness with Christ is to do all for God and all through God. This is how we can please God perfectly. John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Hence, let all be for God without exception for a moment, a thought, a word, a promise, a person, a passion, or a possession, that should be our drive and our goal as believers. May we not rebel against the creator of the universe and expect the glory. Therefore, remember, what I cannot do, God can do through the Holy Spirit at work in us. So, I encourage us to allow God in all in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, help us to live a life that will please God alone at all times in Jesus name.
