The Gift of Rejoicing

 

Text: Ecclesiastes 11:9 (KJV)

 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

Friends, we are quick to consume products that promises things that can’t possible deliver just because of the advertisement strategy.  We basically succumb to the news and invest with our all. But, why do we just believe such by the coined message of the producer in the advert? Hmmm! We can even spend extra even in our first sight of a new product. But, why is it very difficult to jump into God’s assured promises by our first hearing? Therefore, we are to reflect on God’s good gifts and promises today. He advises us to be happy at all times, cheer up and walk with our hearts. We are to produce from our hearts rejoicing and not heaviness. Psalm 118:24. This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Infact, true joy, happiness, and hope comes from the context of a flourishing relationship with God.  Let us  therefore develop a deep intimacy with God today.

 

Amazingly, we are admonished to explore Gods words of assurance that gives us unspeakable joy despite the negative news of the world today. Therefore, we are to reproduce joy in our environment as an advert that can influence others too. The fact is that we have the ability for so many things because there are already a gift to us.  James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Unfortunately, we are going through so many challenges because we went beyond the prescribed boundaries from God. Remember, it is a gift from God to live within God’s boundaries as to rejoice at all times in Jesus name.

 

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, help us not miss use God’s gift given to us within his boundaries that He has established for His glory in Jesus name.
