Light to the blinded mind

 

Text: 2Corinthians.4:3-4(KJV)

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Friends, the gospel is an eye opener and we should not allow our minds to be flooded with darkness that is hovering over the society today.  There is light of direction in the gospel but as we live outside Christ it is full of crisis. So, have you ever thought of the gospel of Christ as GOOD NEWS? We should hunger for the word of God as to shine with the image of God to our world which is light to the blinded mind. 1Cori.1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Therefore, let’s embrace the good news in the bible as it is the information of the past, present, and the future with solution to any kind of problems that we are facing.

Interestingly, seeing we have this mystery that we have received out of mercy, let’s not faint in good works. And, we must learn not to walk in craftiness nor handle the word of God deceitfully. Indeed, the benefit of the gospel can only be hid to them that are lost in whose mind has been blinded with the gods of this world. Ezekiel 11:19b- And I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh.  In fact, they have walked out of faith and believe not the word of truth. But, I pray we shall embrace the message of our saviour Jesus Christ, who is the image of Christ. And, He has commanded His light in us to shine out of darkness as He illuminates our hearts by the knowledge of His word today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, may this generation hunger and thirst for the living word on daily basis as to take away the stony heart and flood our lives with light in Jesus name.
