Text: Luke 9:62 (KJV)
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Friends, we all have the nature of holding onto memories unfortunately they are mostly negative events that are hurting. But, you can decide not to cage yourself with depressive memories but the attitude of never look back can be your new disposition. Beloved, see the past as past, so you can move on to the future by forgetting the former things. It is a common mistake by many, but it is not late to change your pathway. Isaiah 43:18- Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Certain times, we get to the extent of not forgiving ourselves but we can decide today to look ahead as to see your glorious future. Indeed, it cannot be compared with the failures of yesterday. Yes, you just need to cheer up.
Amazingly, there
is an assurance that there are so many new and better things unfolding in our
favour, so do not hold on to those old memories, instead, look ahead. Philippians 3:13- Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before. It has crushed
people’s behaviours and dampen their mood which has affected their output. Also,
it has made many take horrible decisions. So, I encourage you to dust those
memories of yours and move on with the voice of God. The truth is that it may
seem hard or difficult, but just trust God to heal you of that broken heart and
heavy burden today, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, help me to develop the attitude of not dwelling on the negative past, as you purge me inside and outside to the glory of God in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to dwell and see your new unfolding in this season.
