The Seed of the Enemy

 

 

Text: Genesis 3:15 (KJV)

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.

Many of us have experienced what we are not meant to experience because we let the devil play with our minds. Yes, we are definitely tempted, but what action do we take when tempted? Even Jesus himself was tempted in Matthew 4:6b-“If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee.” But He decided to withstand and oppose that temptation that is what made Him overpower the devil by declaring the written word. We know that the fall of man started when the woman, Eve, let the serpent’s suggestion ruin her relationship with God against His will. The funny part is that he came with a suggestion, not a command.  Friends, will you still stand strong under tight corner? Or how do you manage satanic suggestions when they come in the form of temptations? The truth about the devil is that he is a very subtle being as he even quoted the scriptures just like his temptation with Jesus. Learn to withstand and oppose his tricks with the word of God, by developing a defensive mechanism, so as to maneuver his tricks.

 

Amazingly, many forget the overcoming seed in us to bruise the serpent and that seed is JESUS CHRIST. It is a powerful seed to defeat principalities and power. It says in Colossians 2:15- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. So, do not be threatened by that temptation because it is just a suggestion, but instead, activate the seed in you and utilize it over that situation you are in. There is no situation that He cannot handle. James 4:7- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Just like Joseph did when Potiphar’s' wife tempted him. Let’s flee as achieve victory in Jesus name.

1.Oh Lord, help me to identify and unlock the seed in me for my defense, in Jesus name.
