The Close Door Zone

 

Text: Matthew 6:6 (KJV)

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Life has taught us that there is always a hiding place, which is like a shelter in the time of stormand this place is usually a place to run to for safety and protection. It is the INSIDE ZONE. We have the greatest privilege by us having the safest and best place to hide, which is in Jesus. It is a hidden place we must cultivate as we walk through the year.  Psalms 91:1- He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.He is our secret place, and the amazing part is that those who dwell and remain in Him will be rewarded openly, as we are told in our text of today.  We must develop this attitude of going back to the inside zone to renew and refresh our strength for the journey ahead.  The truth is the world is a battleground, but the point of you putting your comfort in this great place gives you assurance that in that battle of life you have victory.Exodus 14:14- The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Amazingly, not only is He a secret place, but also His name is a so strong that it gives a place of safety by your calling.Proverbs 18:10- The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Also, Psalms 46:1- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. I tell you, this secret place is so unique and every one of us must hunger to step into it, but for one to enter this place of strength, you need to have an intimate relationship with God and that starts with the heart which is the inside zone. You allowing Him into your heart makes Him to dwell there and in so doing, He reveals the secrets of His word and new idea for living. This special place is meant for you and me, and we can start today to hunger for it even this new year. So, I urge you to just accept Him into your heart today and experience Him deeply in Jesus name.

1. Father, please take me to your secret place of encounterswith new ideas, in Jesus name.

2. Oh Lord, I come against every form of distraction that is affecting my experience in your secret place, in Jesus name.
