Satisfaction with Jesus

 

Text: Luke 12:15 (KJV)

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

If I give you everything you want in this world, will you be satisfied? What do you do when a new desire comes? I believe we all have new desire in this new year. I wonder what your response will be. The truth is man is insatiable and that means you can never be satisfied no matter the level of possession you may have or will have. We already have new expectations in our prayer list,  but imagine them.to be asatisfaction with Jesuswhich surpasses every other desire.  Our text of today tell us to watch out and guard ourselves from every kind of greed because our life is not made up of the things we own, no matter how rich we may be and that is the truth.Let us not even go so far, even with thisglobal lockdown or pandemic, we see that all our desires and the possessions that we have gathered were all locked up for months and years.  One mistake people make is that they forget that life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot. We can see that in 1 Timothy 6:7- For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. Because of this mistake, many people feel like life is worthless since they do not have any possession or since they cannot satisfy their desires, but the only way anyone can be satisfied is through Jesus.

The truth is the satisfaction that you get from Jesus is true and genuine, and it is without stress. Let's pursue the right cause for a lasting satisfaction. That shows us that THE GOD FACTOR IS THE REAL SATISFACTION. The amazing part is that this genuine satisfaction even comes with benefits like long life and supplication of all your needs. Wow!!!! Isn’t that exciting? It says in Psalms 91:16- With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. God has promised uslong life and we can also see in Philippians 4:19- But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So that means that us accepting Jesus and being satisfied in Him makes all other desires satisfied too. Really mind-blowing. So I ask you, what kind of satisfaction can beat this true and genuine satisfaction this year? Nothing, so why don’t you taste Him practically this year and experience a new kind of satisfaction.

1. Thank you Jesus for all your daily promises to satisfy our lives with fulfilled long lifein Jesus name.

2. Father, please make us to experience real satisfaction that will wipe awayall those secret tears, in Jesus name.
