Give it to God.

Text: Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

There are times in life, we engage in things which become unnecessary loads and weigh us down. These weights draw us back from achieving speed and results. Certain times, we drop some loads and carry some that still affect us. There are loads still weighing us down from living right and they stand as a yoke which is so little but too difficult to drop, at those times, we need the help of God. Seeing as we already have things surrounding us that we need to deal with, do not add extra ones because it hinders speedy achievements. There is something you are pursuing to achieve, so be focused. The crowd may stand as weight, but your mind must be single. James 1:8- A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. There are little weeds that spoil the vine; we must be careful to identify them and strip them off from us. There are specific weaknesses we are still struggling to eliminate and they are slowing us down. We can not continue to manage it in secret.  Do not allow spiritual and parasitic luggages to hinder us from fulfilling our target. We have a model champion (JESUS) who both began and finished strong, do not be distracted from Him. Also, do not lose sight of where you are heading because of the weight; instead, drop off the EXTRA. Do not compare yourself with others, but compare yourself with yourself based on God’s endowment upon you.    

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. The old nature we carried into this world needs to dropped and must not be allowed to slow us down because it is not part of God’s kingdom. They have a way to limit our output and relationship with others; we should instead put on the new nature, so therefore drop off all the things and people influencing your decisions or actions negatively.

PRAYER POINTS: 

1) Father, help us to identify the secret weaknesses we are dealing with and give us the ability to drop them off, in Jesus name.

2) Oh Lord, help us to live a life shaped by God even in the midst of this perverse generation, in Jesus name.  

3) Father, please help us to boldly declare and cut-off from negative influences, so as to prevent those wrong decisions, in Jesus name.
