Altered plans.

 

Text: Job 5:12 (KJV)

He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. 

In this technology era that we live in, there are a lot of devices that has been manufactured. Some are made for good while some are made for bad. The ones which are made for good, God used them to give us a lot of testimonies and we thank Him for that, but the ones made with an evil mission attached to it, God disappoints their plans. Many at times, we see or hear about disappointment, but have you ever thanked God for the plans which you had in mind did not go according to plan? I believe most of us will say “No”. The truth is, we have heard of testimonies of people who planned for something, but they got disappointed and later on they found out that the plans they had in mind would have led to them losing their lives. Then they end up thanking God for saving their lives, but this should have been done immediately after the disappointment. The God which we serve is so merciful and He sees beyond what we can see, that is why He has already disappointed the evil plans while it is in the conception stage. The devil always puts a lot of effort into planning those evil missions (like there is usually a lot of confidence, imagination and secret designs put into plan), but all of those agendas come to not because God has and will defeat all of them.. Nehemiah 4:15- And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work. We need to appreciate God for that; that is why it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18a- In everything, give thanks. To always give thanks to God, either in good or bad times.

Beyond the device, there are spoken words that stand as devices. Isaiah 8:10- Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. Our God is more than able and He can disappoint all their strategy, so we should make out time to thank Him. God is working seriously behind the scene; there are a lot of unseen battles He fought and ended on our behalf for His name's sake, so be grateful for that. The fact that you have God involved means that you have the upper hand because His’ wisdom is able to navigate and frustrate their devices, so rejoice because all of their schemes have none effect in your life. Hallelujah!!!

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. Thank you Jesus for frustrating all the crafty devices of the wicked, in Jesus name.

2. Father, please continue to disappoint the invisible devices that they are manufacturing right now for their operation, in Jesus name.
