Say NO to the golden image

Text: Daniel 3:14 (KJV)

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

In life, there are different intensities of challenges that come to confront our faith. Certain times, they are extremely hot or mildly hot; it can even be a cool one for you. They all depend on the individuals and many other factors but for these three Hebrew boys they reported them to the King that they did not regard the king which is a big offence. Also, that they did not serve the gods nor worship the golden image.   Beloved, it takes a lot of boldness to still stand when the king commanded that they should be brought before the King which was a set up to shake their faith. The same goes for us. Sometimes, we walk into the furnace ourselves, and sometimes we are pushed into it by a set up, but the main question is, what are you doing in that furnace that you are in? Are you just crying and saying there is no hope, or are you taking advantage of that situation (like making good use of it to advance the kingdom)? The three Hebrew boys from our text made good use of that SETUP against their faith. The situation did not move them; instead, they held on their faith in God and allowed Him to show up just like Esther said if I perish I perish.

The truth is God is always on our side; we just need to call Him to show up in that situation, so as to turn it into a miracle. The men in our text above served God in their furnace but that is very difficult moment in our time but God showed up. The amazing part is that He even showed up physically as the fourth man in the furnance. Daniel 3:25- He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. The greatest testimony is that these Hebrew boys came out of the furnace unharmed; it even got to the point that there was no smell of smoke on them. Daniel 3:27- And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Isn’t God wonderful? The same testimony is coming your way, in Jesus name. Friends, stand your ground do not bow to the golden image because it is a set up to pull down your faith in God.  If you remember, all that these boys did was to have faith and confidence in God and they responded, “We are not careful to answer thee in this matter.” So I urge you to do the same, just have faith in Him and see that furnace cease and turn to a testimony in Jesus name. 

PRAYER POINTS: 

1.Father, please help me always to know that our God is able to deliver and rescue no matter the extreme heat of the furnace, in Jesus name.

2. Father, please turn every hot situation I am in right now to testimony and help me to come out unhurt, in Jesus name.
