The Mark is Attainable

 

Text: Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

We are all on a race striving to achieve a great prize but so many people are in the lane with you. So, do not get to a point where you think you have arrived. Though the prize mark is high but it is attainable because grace is also available.  2 Peter 1:8 Wherefore the rather brethren give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fail.  Friends, there is joy set ahead of us as we work diligently towards the mark.  There is always excellence ahead at each point of your achievement. The more you know him, the more you encounter the prize of His high calling. The runner’s satisfaction is to be able to get to the end of the race with an award and not prizeless at the end.  Forget the achievement of now as to see beyond the barriers and run to win the prize set before us as a pursuit. The reward is juicy let us therefore pursue the set goal as His standard cannot belittle. You have been empowered by Christ’s as His calling is the ultimate height. We must treasure the potential that has been released for us so that it will be of a great value to preserve it. If you hold on to what you already have, you may not grow beyond that level you are in to gain more heights. God’s calling is not to despise us but to elevate us into a new glory. To identify your new area of exploits in your calling, you need to search for the required knowledge in that area. Learn to press into a new level of knowledge of the scripture as to attain this higher calling with great achievement in Jesus name.

Our desire should be 2Timothy 4:7- I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. We must pursue to achieve but focus on keeping our integrity and personality. We should be conscious to arrive well and keep all the regulations of the race to avoid being disqualified. Do not count yourself as an expert but we need to keep our eyes on the goal, for the prize attached is higher than our current status. We must run hard and right to finish well and receive a higher applause. Let us fix our thought on Jesus, he is the centerpiece of everything we can achieve in any field in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, help us to run as to achieve and obtain the set goal at last for our destiny, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, may we not linger in celebration on the past awards so as to win the ultimate prize ahead, in Jesus name.
