Text: Genesis.2:7 (KJV)
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
In our world of today, there are so many kinds of
influences; some are positive, while others are negative. The truth is that we see alot of people under
the influence of drugs, drinking, and wrong friends, but the most powerful
influence anyone can ever experience is that of the Holy Spirit. I tell you, it is one of a kind. From
our scripture above, we can see that the Lord breathe his Spirit upon us in the
creation, which is moving us today. We are meant to use this Spirit of life to
impact others positively; it can be through our behaviour and reaction to the
things in our lives and the lives of others. This Spirit of life is actually
our strength as Christians, and it is by this Spirit that we can live the life
that Christians are meant to live. The Spirit of life is so amazing, and it makes
great impact by influencing our minds into doing the right thing, and He
purifies our thoughts from evil. John3:6- That which is
born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. I
tell you, the difference between a believer and an unbeliever is the presence
of the Holy Spirit, and we are meant to utilize Him. For us to enjoy Him to the
fullest, we need to have a revelation of His personality.
Interestingly, when Jesus was about to die, He promised that He was
going to send the Holy Spirit as a teacher and comforter, which He did. John 14:26- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom
the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all
things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Our new
birth in Christ changes our carnal mind into the Spirit of Christ, and this is
by the help of the Holy Spirit. We need to keep yielding ourselves to the Word
of God and prayers, especially with the prayer in tongues, for us to experience this change. Jude1:20-
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the
Holy Ghost. I tell you, it is by the influence of the Spirit that we get
the fruits of joy, peace, love, etc. and this means that the Spirit is a
quickening spirit. So, I encourage you to keep praying for the Spirit to fill
your heart so that you can manifest His nature in your physical, emotional and
spiritual life in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Oh Lord, please help us to yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit so as
to pick divine signals in Jesus name.
2. Father, please open my eyes to the leading of the Spirit of God at
all times, so as to bear the fruits of righteousness, in Jesus name.
