Text: Jeremiah.33:3(KJV)
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and
mighty things, which thou knowest not.
The truth is that calling someone’s
name is a sign of attention, and we know that once the person who is called
responds to the call it opens us up for interaction. That is what God is
telling us to do in our text of today. He is telling us that when we reach out
or call Him in prayer, He will respond and answer us. Let us make our prayer
hour a time of fellowship with God the Father, son and the Holy Ghost as God’s
desire is a relationship in all. Amazingly, this action of prayer has a lot of
power attached to it, and God is encouraging us to seek Him in prayers. People
often think that their prayers are neither too hard for God to answer, or it
should not be said, but I tell you never to underestimate the power of prayer.
Instead, just pray with trust that He has heard your call and cry because he
has made the promise. Matthew 7:7- Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye
shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. God is ready to
grant all our prayers, and not only that, He is also prepared to unlock those
inaccessible secrets to us. Great!! What a privilege?
There is a
remarkable secret out there that we have to look out for, so do not ever think
or assume that you know everything, because that is the beginning of the downfall.
1Corinthians 10:12 (MSG) –Don’t be so naive
and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as
easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate
God-confidence. I encourage you again to be very careful and call Him in prayers
because He will definitely answer you as He enjoys that mutual fellowship. We
should remember to bring God into our daily activities because, on our own, we
can do nothing. John 15:5b- for without me ye
can do nothing. Even Jesus saw the need for prayer to succeed in His ministry we
also need prayers much more. Luke.5:16- And he withdrew
himself into the wilderness, and prayed. We must remember, prayer is a
fellowship and a relationship, and it is not about the volume of words, but it
is a place of communion with the Father. So start today to cultivate the habit
of prayer as a fellowship with God THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Oh Lord, may my
faith be deepened and my relationship with You grow strong so that I can enjoy
the attitude of prayer in Jesus name.
2. Father, please
help me to understand prayer as a fellowship and communion with my heavenly Father
in Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Do you know, that dry altar
is gradually separating one from His fellowship and intimacy?
