Walking with Him not knowing

 

Text: Luke 24:16(KJV)

But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

After the third day as Jesus was risen from the dead, he was showing himself to all in diverse manner. There is a divine operation where our eyes are blinded even in the presence of the Lord. On the way to the village called Emmaus, the two disciples were busy in serious conversation about all these things that had happened. But, while going over these things in the middle of the talk Jesus came up and walked along with them without them knowing that was the risen Christ. Amazingly, with all the prophecies that happened, they did not still understand. Now we can see there has been a lot of drama about the appearance of Jesus all around us, and he has often time shown up on those concerns with clear answers and we did not know. Daniel 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things; he knoweth what is in the darkness and the light dwelleth with him.  Let us allow him to reveal his real self in that situation. But unfortunately, we are so slow hearted and thick headed, that so many people are still confused and in doubt of his appearance as he has promised. I hope you are not one of them still in doubt?

Interestingly, when they got to the end of the road can you imagine, they still did not recognize him. Today, a lot of us are walking with Jesus without recognizing his divine presence. May our eyes be enlightened to see and experience his presence in our life journey in Jesus name.  We need his explanation and interpretation for a better clarity and exploit in this kingdom. Even when he was sharing from the book of Moses and through all the prophets even giving reference of the scriptures, also sat down with them on the table taking bread, blessed and broke it. It was until this moment that their eyes were wide opened that they recognized him. Psalm25:14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will shew them his covenant.  Please, it is time to yield ourselves to the master for another touch so we can nnrecognize his glory that is available all around us. We cannot really perceive his presence without divine touch both on our physical and spiritual sight. We need our eyes to suddenly be opened by God so that all the cloud covering our sight can vanish away in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Father, may we begin now to understand the appearance of the master in every situation we find ourselves in Jesus name.

2. Oh Lord help us to always recognize and understand His mode of communication as to grab his leading in Jesus name.
