Text: 1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV)
Charity never faileth: but whether
there be prophecies, they shall fall; whether there be tongues, they shall
cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Due
to our redemption in Christ, we have become pathfinders, and by so doing, we
are supposed to go beyond normal, even in our love for God. We need to move
from the point of knowing God just for the sake of being strong in the Lord to
the point of doing exploits by His love. In our world of today, many people
want to do great works, but they try to skip the process of growing their love
for God, and I tell you, it is impossible to skip this process and still
understand God better. Daniel 11:32b- But the people
that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. The question
is, what is the degree of your love for God?
Ask yourself, is my love for God practical, and can the people around me
say or see that love in all that I do? We need to make our love for God visible
to our environment, and this can only be done by us having a deep knowledge
about the originator of love - God because you cannot exhibit the love of the
person you don’t know. 1 John 4:7-8- Beloved, let us
love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God,
and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Amazingly,
the level of our knowledge of God takes us to a point where we are mentally
strong with confidence, and that makes loving very easy. There is an aspect of
God's nature in every one of us, and it always responds positively to love.
There are qualities of love that make it possible to do exploit, and it is
necessary to study the word of God so as to activate such attributes. For
example, love never gives up but is patient. We can see a lot of those
attributes in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (you can read that later). From our text of
today, we learn that so many things will perish and vanish someday but love
never dies or vanishes. There is a great work that goes beyond giving your life
to Christ, and these exploits and achievements are for God lovers that is, why
we must strive to increase our love for him. Always remember, the hotter the love of God, the higher
the level of exploits you achieve, so unlock your walk and work with Him
today by seeking for a deeper knowledge of His love.

Lord, we ask for the ability to keep growing in our love for the things of His
kingdom, in Jesus name.

Father, please help us to grow in grace as to give ourselves wholly and stay in
the mystery, as You empower us supernaturally, in Jesus name.
