41:16(KJV)
And Joseph answered Pharoah, saying, it is not in
me, God shall give Pharoah an answer of peace.
The truth is, it takes a lot of humility to recognize
the hand of God in your gift or talent and not try to take the glory to your
effort. Many people tell themselves that they do not take the glory of any
effort, but they want to get more praises and appreciation unknowingly. We
cannot deny this because we must have fallen into this category one way or the
other. From our scripture above, we can see that Joseph knew he had no power to
interpret dreams, which made him wholly depend on the influence and revelation
of God; and even though he knew God was helping him, he never tried to take the
glory. We can see that he clearly expressed that it is not in him but God’s
deposit of ability in his life. The question now is, do you think you are
qualified for that position because of your intellect? Think about it, if you
are saying yes, then you have to come to a realization that your power is not
enough to get that position, but it is only God that made it possible. 2 Corinthians 3:5- Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to
think anything as ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God. God made
that position available for you, so you have to give Him all the glory, not
some.
Although God is the one that makes away and gives us all we
need, we still have to be ready or go through the process of preparation to get
that assigned position for us. In the case of Joseph, he had been in the
process of preparation and equipment before he got to the high position of
being a governor. He passed through all those trials and temptations so that he can be so equipped for the position God had for
him. But your readiness
determines if you are the best choice of brand at the time of selection and
election. James 1:2-4-My brethren, count it all
joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your
faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be
perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Remember, for you to get that position set up for you, there
is sacrifice attached, and the sacrifice will be what you can carry, so endure
to the end. Brethren, always remind yourself, what qualifies me is the Spirit of God found in me.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, help me to be sensitive to that
orchestrated trouble that heaven is allowing to take me to my throne, in Jesus
name.
2. Oh Lord, may there be urgency that
will send me to the place of honour that you have for me, in Jesus name.
