Text:
Revelation 22:12(KJV)
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with
me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
The truth is, in everything that we do there is a pay day or
should I say, there is a reward and it is based on our worthy or unworthy behavior;
it is called the reward of service. It is usually given to motivate the good
effort put into every labour, so this means there is a blessing attached to
every good work done in this kingdom and there is also a curse attached to
every wrong doings. In the world that we live in, people tend to do eye-service
and still hope to be rewarded, but from our text of today, we can see that God
rewards according to his/her work, so those eye-services will not work in His
kingdom. GOD IS THE MASTER REWARDER, so we should crave to be rewarded by Him.
He is not stingy in His promotion and rewarding, we just need to genuinely put
all effort into working for Him, because I tell you, your reward is coming
soon. He does not pay half salary or underpay your efforts rather he settles in
full package according to our life work with extra pay.
The question now is, whose kingdom are you working and
putting all your efforts for here on earth? Think about it for a second, we
should have it at the back of our minds that our name is on His payroll and it
is a great privilege to be paid by the Lord. Remember, His payment is beyond
physical cash and it is even beyond what you can imagine. Psalm 68:19- Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with
benefits; even the God of our salvation. Amazingly, he does not just pay
salary but he also adds all the benefits and awards of service because daily he
loads us with benefits as his goodness continues to follow us in season and out
of season. Remember, even when we have gone astray, the mercy of God stands for
us to reconcile us back to Jesus Christ.1 Corinthians
15:58 (NIV) - Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.
Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the
Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain. I encourage us to maintain a
straight course and I pray God will help you, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, help us to be faithful to the
end, so that we shall receive the crown of life as a good servant,in Jesus
name.
2. Oh Lord, may we not be cut short but instead
endure to the end, so as to serve and receive the reward with all our hearts, in
Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE:
Remember, there is an invisible hand shake of
congratulations that await you.
