Abiding In His Sufficiency

 

Text: 2 Corinthians 3:5 (KJV)

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

Our God is more than sufficient in all fields of life even in this New Year. He meets our needs according to the abundance of His riches. All his creations are in abundance to the point of overflow as He is the Almighty and can supply in excess all the needs of man at the same time. Have you imagined how many people are on the list for that your one request with God?  Our varieties of expectations are all available in excess, and He never runs dry or low from the storehouse. There is sufficiency even for the generation yet unborn. What a great God!! All things are ready even this year if we can abide in His sufficiency. Romans 11:33- O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! On our own, we can honestly do nothing, so all we have to do is to lean on his abundant provision to live a stress-free life. Jesus is our sufficiency. Just go to Him with that assurance that He is the supplier of all needs, even the power to overcome sin. He is our strength and the oil to scale through; we are truly complete in Him, and everything comes, happens, and ends with Him.

Jeremiah 10:23- O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. We are struggling today to live a Christian life because we depend on ourselves, but our sufficiency should be from the Lord. Remember, God is the one working and not us. If you think that your capacity is sufficient for you, good, try to break off from your connectivity with Him, then, you will know you are about to experience a complete error if not failure. We are in a world filled with diversity of challenges, but the privilege we have is in Christ. Let us abide in the vine it is our guarantee for living. The life of Christ is imputed in us, it is not by power nor by might but by His Spirit. 2Corinthians 9:8- And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound in every good work. God’s provision also includes grace, which overflows in this New Year for a glorious output. His sufficiency is always ready with overflowing blessings that you will not have enough room to store it. Do not run this year by yourself to avoid a life of struggle. His capacity is large enough for everyone, in every tribe and every nation to make all our weakness to become perfect in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1) Lord, may we know You again as to rely on God’s capacity in all our expectations in Jesus name.

2) Father, help us not to depend on ourselves by reason of our knowledge and experience in Jesus name.
