A Savior in time of need

 

Text: Isaiah 60:2 (KJV)

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

The time we are in now is a very sensitive moment in the life of a believer, because there is a lot of darkness, frustration, distress, false worship, and confusion, and also people are going for alternatives to get their needs met, but our assurance as children of God is that the light of God will still shine. I know that it can be difficult to stay rooted in Him when there is a lot of fast alternative around, but whenever you feel this way, always remember God’s hand in your life in the past victories. Psalms 77:11 (GNT) - I will remember your great deeds, LORD; I will recall the wonders you did in the past. The truth is we need to put our face on the sun of righteousness despite all the blanket of darkness this world brings, because there is a radiant light of glory upon us and we have to utilize it. It is time for us to wake up, children of God; we need to seek and search for sound doctrine so as to swallow the deep darkness that is covering the whole earth as we need him now more than before. To be frank, the zeal and faith of many people are diminishing because of the current affairs of life, but we as God’s children need to stay put and we need to be careful. Our faith is being questioned in this generation even globally, our belief is going through persecution, but the goodnews is Daniel 11:32b- But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. We must remember that our survival in a time like this is based on our level of deep insight and our knowledge on the word of God. The amazing part is that, this survival tips gives us the authority and boldness to stand firm and we need to use this authority on a daily basis.

We must remember to be strong and to be of good courage in a time like this for the saviour is with us. It says in Joshua1:6-Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. The wonderful part is that God goes before us and makes our path straight. Isaiah 45:2a- I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight. So stand tall because God has already made the path smooth. Let us wake up, we have the greatest defense with us, which is the light of glory upon us. Also, never forget, you are the DECIDING OFFICER of your life and destiny.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Oh Lord, please give me the grace to remain bold and confident in my belief in Christ no matter the current happenings in Jesus name.

2.Father, please help me to take a decision against the norms that are affecting my faith in Jesus name.
