Text: Psalms 18:2 (KJV)
The Lord is
my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will
trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my
high tower.
We can see the Psalmist personalize
his experience about who God is to him in our text of today. If I asked you
have you ever stood up from a high place and looked down? Everyone will say
“yes”, but if I asked you, your encounter, it will be completely different. The
truth is being up in a high place can be good or bad experience to people, but
how you felt up there is what matters? Being in a high place can be a scary
experience to people because they probably are scared of height, but to some
people, they felt a sense of confidence and that is because they could see the
world from a different view. This is how God is for us as His children. He is a
tower you can run to and feel a sense of confidence. He is a sure place of
rescue and He has the best and greatest defense ever seen in this world. Psalms 93:4- The Lord on
high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of
the sea.
Amazingly, even His name can make you
feel that sense of confident. Proverbs
18:10- The name of the Lord is
a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. He has never changed from generation
to generation, and He never disappoints. This experience is part of our
inheritance and I urge you not to miss it. He is always ready to be your
defense and refuge. I tell you, if you have already experienced this sense of
safety before, it is not the end of His work, so do not relax because He still
has more heights in store for you. So set your mind on Him and experience all
these benefits today. God will help us, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Father, may I run to you and make
You my height elevator to anchor for life, in Jesus name.
2.Heavenly Father, please fix my eyes
on you as a pathway of escape, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE:
Do you know that your height now is a new level of
experience?
