Your Seed shall bruise the serpent

Text: Genesis 3:15 (KJV)

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.

Many of us have experienced what we are not meant to experience because we let the devil play with our minds. The truth is we as children of God will definitely be tempted, but it is the action that we take when tempted that makes us experience a lot. Even Jesus himself was tempted in Matthew 4:6b-“If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee.” But He decided to withstand and oppose that temptation that is what made Him overpower the devil. We know that the fall of man started when the woman, Eve, let the serpent’s suggestion ruin her relationship with God, and she ended up going against His will. The funny part is that he came with a suggestion, not a command.  Wow, he is really cunny. The first question is: if you are in a tight situation, will you still stand strong? Please answer this, and the next question is: how do you manage satanic suggestions when they come in the form of temptations? The truth about the devil is that he is a very subtle being (he even quoted the scriptures when he was tempting Jesus), but we need to learn how to withstand and oppose his tricks with the word of God, as well as, we must also develop a defensive mechanism, so as to maneuver his tricks.

Many of us tend to forget that we have a seed in us, which we can use to bruise the head of the serpent (the devil), and that seed is JESUS CHRIST. This seed is so powerful. He can defeat any show of principalities and power, and the best part is that it is not only in heaven that He works, He also works on earth. It says in Colossians 2:15- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. So do not be threatened by that temptation because it is just a suggestion, but instead, activate the seed in you and utilize it over that situation you are in. The amazing part is that this seed is very firm and reliable, and there is no situation that He cannot handle, so just do like it says in James 4:7- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Just like Joseph did when Potiphar’s' wife tempted him. So I urge you to stand strong and firm with your seed (key of defense), and you will achieve victory in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Oh Lord, help me to identify and unlock the seed in me for my defense, in Jesus name.

2.Father, please help me to be ever ready with my activated seed so that I will not fall for the devil’s suggestion, in Jesus name.
