Preserve your Saltiness

Text: Mattew 5:13 (KJV)

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Have you ever eaten a meal without salt? You realize how tasteless it is. Salt is usually used for flavouring, purification and preservation, when it loses its taste it is no longer useful, so therefore have salt in you. Keep yourself seasoned at all times with relevant knowledge. The taste of a salt is what makes it good. Season your words with the right words and you will know how to answer any man. In your conversation, bring out the best in you and in others. Saltlessness is what makes one not valuable, so continue to add value and worth to yourself by building up yourself with relevant stuffs like the Word of God. Salt is not useful if it is still in the bag because its usefulness cannot be appreciated, therefore it is good-for-nothing. There is a flavour in you, don’t bottle it up, so you do not be a good-for-nothing entity. Do not allow your natural value to be lost because of the environment.

Colossians 4:6- Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Your actions must be seasoned with salt, especially your speech, so as to know how to respond to every occasion and the people around you.  Salt is good and it is in every kitchen, there is good in you that must be saved and served to bring sweetness and taste in every endeavors of your life. You cannot draw both salt water and fresh water from the same fountain. As you have salt in yourself, you will have peace and extend to others. You also have the power to influence, to preserve and to affect things around you. As the salt of the earth, you should enhances flavour and should deliberately seek to influence people’s lives around you. God has spread us around the world so that unwanted strangers and characters cannot survive around us, that is why you are the preserver of the earth. Do not loss your natural content and property.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Father, wherever we have lost our flavour, restore our integrity and personality as we recover all by your mercies, in Jesus name.

2.May we become an agent of change and positive influence in our organization as you heal our tongue from toxic words, in Jesus name.

3.May I conserve and purify my content and value even in the phase of trials, in Jesus name.

4.Oh Lord, thank you because you have made us the salt of the world and we will not loss our flavour, in Jesus name.
