Walking in the Spirit

Text: Galatians 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."

Friends, God has called us as Christians to live under the guidance and the influence of the Holy Spirit as to enjoy life on earth with eternal value. So, walking in the Spirit means allowing God's Spirit to direct our thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions every day. As we remain connected to Him through fellowship in prayer, His Word, and obedience, He empowers us to overcome temptation and produce the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Romans 8:14 declares, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Hence, the Holy Spirit never leads us into confusion but always guides us according to God's truth and purpose.

Today, we see believers struggle in different areas of life because they rely on their own strength instead of depending on the Holy Spirit. Remember, victory over sin and spiritual growth come through daily surrender to God's leading. Galatians 5:25 – "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Therefore, we should learn to cultivate a life of prayer, study the Scriptures faithfully, and remain sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as you walk in the Spirit each day, God will strengthen you to overcome every temptation and empower you to live a life that brings glory to His name in Jesus' name.

Father, fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to walk in obedience to Your Word, overcome every work of the flesh, and live a life that reflects Your holiness in Jesus' name.
