Walk away from negative patterns

Text: Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Friends, God never created His children to be trapped in cycles of failure, sin or destructive habits. Through His grace, He has given us the power to break and walk away from every evil pattern and walk in the newness of life. Hence, whether the pattern is anger, immorality, dishonesty, addiction, fear, prayerlessness, or repeated disappointment caused by wrong choices, God calls us to live differently. A transformed life begins with a renewed mind that is submitted to God's Word. 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. When we surrender our lives completely to Christ, He empowers us to replace destructive habits with righteous living and leads us into a life that glorifies Him.

Interestingly, it is important to recognize unhealthy patterns in our lives and refuse them. Today, many give excuses to sinful habits, blame their background, or believe that change is impossible. Yet God always provides a way of escape for those who trust Him. 1 Corinthians 10:13 – There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful... will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Therefore, re-examine your life honestly, identify every negative pattern that does not honor God, and deliberately walk away from it as you fill your heart with God's Word, live in prayer, and surround yourself with right people. And God shall establish you in a lifestyle of holiness, victory, and lasting transformation in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, deliver me from patterns that seeks to hinder my destiny as You renew and strengthen my mind to resist every temptation and establish me in your glory in Jesus' name.
