Text: Exodus 31:4–5
To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in
cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner
of workmanship.
Friends, God is not only interested in our
prayers, worship, and spiritual growth, but He is also concerned about the
works of our hands. The scripture above shows how God gave Bezaleel grace for
skillful hands so that he could carry out the work of building the tabernacle
with excellence, beauty, and precision. This shows us that skill, creativity,
craftsmanship, and excellence are also gifts that can be empowered by God for
divine purpose. The hands that build, create, organize, design, write, teach,
and serve can all become instruments of God’s glory when surrendered to Him. Ecclesiastes 9:10 - Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do
it with thy might.
Amazingly, Bezaleel was not only called, he was
also equipped to work skillfully with gold, silver, brass, stones, and wood.
God placed wisdom and craftsmanship upon his life so that the assignment given
to him could be done well. This reminds us that divine calling must be
accompanied by divine ability. It is possible to have a burden in your heart,
but you also need God’s grace upon your hands to carry it out effectively. So,
whether in ministry, business, career, service, or daily responsibilities, God
can anoint your hands with skill, excellence, and productivity. Proverbs 22:29 - Seest thou a man diligent in his
business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Hence,
the Lord who gives skill for service and grace for workmanship will establish
the labour of your hands and cause your efforts to reflect His glory in Jesus’
name.
Prayer Point:
Lord, release upon my life the grace for skillful hands. Fill me with wisdom,
excellence, creativity, and diligence, and establish the work of my hands for
Your glory in Jesus’ name.
Action Quote: Remember,
when God places grace upon your hands, your work begins to carry excellence,
beauty, value, and divine impact.
