Exceedingly Rejoice

 

Happy New Month of June

Text: Psalm 68:3(KJV)

But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

Friends, welcome to the sixth month. We must learn to reflect on God’s faithfulness as to sincerely rejoice from the deep and not shallow joy which cannot stand the test of time. Yes, we live in a time filled with pressures, and challenges that can easily steal our joy. Yet God calls His people to rejoice, not because life is always easy, but because He remains faithful and it is a command. So, our joy should be rooted in God's unchanging nature rather than in changing circumstances if we must exceedingly rejoice. Hence, Apostle Paul wrote, "Rejoice in the Lord alway" (Philippians 4:4) even while facing difficulties. This teaches us that true joy comes from trusting God that makes it endless. Rejoicing is an act of faith that declares confidence in God's promises regardless of what we face.

Amazingly, we must remember as we journey in this new month, that joy gives strength to overcome life's challenges. Nehemiah 8:10 says, "The joy of the Lord is your strength." Therefore, when fear, worry, or discouragement arise, we are encouraged to exercise godly joy which renews our hearts and helps us remain steadfast. It reminds us that God is greater than all our problems. God also fills rejoicing believers with peace and hope that brings about rejoicing exceedingly. Romans 15:13 declares that God fills His people with "all joy and peace in believing." As we trust and rejoice in Him, our hearts are strengthened with fresh hope for the future. Therefore, choose to rejoice in God's faithfulness every day. As you exceedingly rejoice before Him, may He fill your life with strength, peace, and hope in Jesus' name.

Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, fill my heart with Your joy all through the month and help me to live a life with exceeding rejoicing in every season and may Your joy be my strength and testimony, in Jesus' name.
