Text: Ephesians 3:16 (KJV)
That he would grant you, according to the riches of
his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.
Friends, true courage does not come from outward
appearance or physical strength, it comes from within. Though, we have the
attitude to try to appear strong on the outside while feeling weak and
overwhelmed inside. But God is more concerned about your
inner strength because that is where real courage is built. Philippians 4:13 -
I can do all things through Christ Jesus which strengtheneth me. When
your inner man is strengthened by the Holy Spirit, you can stand firm
regardless of what is happening around you. Considering a building, it needs a
solid foundation to withstand storms, so our lives require inner spiritual
strength to endure challenges. Often, our outward situations may shake, but
when your spirit is fortified, you remain unmovable. Isaiah
40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall
walk, and not faint. Remember we cannot be weary because the same Spirit
that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. So, we carry divine power on the
inside. Therefore, we must intentionally
build our inner strength through prayer, studying God’s Word, and constant
fellowship with Him.
Amazingly, the unexpected trials, challenges
notwithstanding, our inner strength gives us the ability to respond with
courage instead of fear. 2 Corinthians 4:16 says, For
which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man
is renewed day by day. This shows that no matter what you face
externally, God is continuously renewing and empowering you internally. So, do
not focus on your limitations, rather focus on the strength God is supplying
within you. Even in that odd moment, God is empowering you for a courageous
living in Jesus name.
Prayer Points:
- Oh Lord, strengthen our inner man with Your Spirit and fill us
with divine power in Jesus’ name.
- Faithful Father, help us to remain strong within regardless of
external challenges in Jesus’ name.
