Text:1 Corinthians
15:57 (NLT)
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus
Christ.”
Friends,
in times like these, it is easy to forget that we are not fighting for victory
rather we are living from victory. Yes, there is a liberty in Jesus that
qualifies us for His inheritance. Christ has already paid the price and secured
our freedom from the bondage of sin. Therefore, freedom is not something we are
trying to earn; it is our inheritance.Yet the world constantly tries to pull us
back into old patterns - fear, compromise, doubt, and sinful habits. The real
battle today is not chains on our hands but subtle yokes on our hearts. The
enemy threatens our faith through circumstances, but we must ask ourselves:
When pressured, where do we stand? We should no longer entangle ourselves to
sin because our free is sure.Galatians 5:1 - Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith
Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
The
good news is that, true freedom is not just being saved; it is choosing daily
to live as someone who has been set free of which it is our current struggles. But,
we should be strong to do exploit in faith.Daniel 11:32b-But the people that
do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. However, we must intentionally
identify anything that draws us back toward spiritual bondage and deliberately
step away from it. Hence, you are not a slave to fear rather you are free by
faith. Also, you are not a victim of your past. You are not defeated. You are
victorious in Christ. This is the mindset we must carry as we live the freedom
Christ won for us in Jesus name.
Prayer
Points:
- Lord, help me to walk
daily in the freedom You have given me in Jesus name.
- Father, reveal and
remove anything trying to pull me back into bondage in Jesus name
Action Quote: Remember, it is a freedom already won as we
embrace Christ.
