GOD’S promise to supply

Text: Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Friends, we are in a time of scarcity and men are running helter-skelter for daily needs. But God who is our ultimate provider is making an unending promise to supply all our needs based on His store house. Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Hence, the word of God according to Apostle Paul assures us as believers that God will meet every legitimate need, not based on human effort alone, but according to His infinite riches in glory. Yes, God’s source of supply never runs dry of your needs, so let’s be reassured of His capacity at all times. However, by this promise, we are encouraged as believers to trust God in every circumstance, whether in financial difficulty, emotional trials, or spiritual challenges. 2 Corinth. 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

Interestingly, God’s provision is not limited to material needs; it also includes wisdom, peace, strength, and spiritual guidance which is everyone’s desire. Therefore, when we partner with God through prayer, obedience, and stewardship, we position ourselves to experience His abundant supply. Mathew 6: 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. So, let’s keep seeking and trusting in God’s provision as it allows us to live with confidence, generosity, and gratitude, knowing He is faithful to care for us concerning the past, present and future need in Jesus name.

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, I trust You to supply all my needs according to Your riches and glory even to overflow in Jesus’ name.
  2. Father, help me to rely on Your provision and not on my own understanding or effort at all time in Jesus name

Action Quote: Trust God to supply your needs, and watch Him turn faith into abundance
