Walking with Spiritual Authority

 

Text: Luke 10:19(KJV)

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Friends, we cannot enjoy a walk with spiritual authority without our knowledge of who we are in Christ and yield our vessels to God. So, as we surrender to Him, we are clothed and rooted in the identity of Christ. Therefore, when we begin to stand on God’s word with confidence it is what releases His power and authority over the storm. Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Hence, God’s word is our legal ground which we receive as we are led by His Spirit through obedience and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.  Our faith in God enforces what Christ has won which gives us spiritual authority over situations. Howbeit, authority flows from our intimacy with God. So, the more we walk in obedience, submission, and faith, the more clearly His authority is expressed through our lives, daily. 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD

Surprisingly, we don’t strive to earn this authority rather it is a gift already given through Christ. When Jesus rose from the dead, He stripped the enemy of power and delegated His authority to those who believe in Him.  Mathew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. To walk with spiritual authority is to live daily with an awareness of who you are in Christ and whose name you carry that makes us to exercise such divine authority over darkness. I pray we shall no longer stand at the point of fear and uncertainty but walk in spiritual authority daily in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Oh Lord, grant me access to this authority as I live and speak with confidence, knowing God backs His Word and His promises in every situation in Jesus name
