Text: Ephesians 6:10(KJV)
Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Friends, we are not called to
fight from a place of weakness or fear, but from a position of divine
empowerment that brings about victory over all. Yes, God does not send us into
battles unprepared rather He equips us with His strength, His authority, and
His presence. Hence, it is the power of God that gives us confidence to declare
that the Lord shall fight for us and we shall hold our peace. Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us. Therefore, being empowered for the
battle means understanding that the victory has already been secured through
Christ Jesus. So, your prayers must be focused, faith-filled as we align with
God’s will. Remember, the battle can be very real, but the power of God at work
within us is more than real. 2 Corinthians 10:3–5 For though we walk in
the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are
not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the
obedience of Christ.
Amazingly, our battles are not
man made rather spiritually made. Therefore, spiritual battles are not fought
with physical weapons but with spiritual weapons of truth, faith, prayer, and
the Word of God including the mystery as revealed by the word of God. When we
rely on God’s power rather than our own, we stand firm against opposition and
remain unshaken in difficult seasons. Zechariah 4:6 - Not
by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Today, our empowerment comes through
intimacy with God, obedience to His Word, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. I encourage
us to always remember that the enemies attempt to intimidate us in the current
challenge has been silenced as we are empowered by God to walk boldly and with
confidence on the finished work of Christ in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, clothe me with Your armor
and help me to stand firm in faith and not to depend on my ability as to
overcome life challenges in Jesus name
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to stand
strong in the Lord as we rely on God’s strength and not by our power, daily.
