Stand firm in His strength

 Text: 1 Corinthians 15:58(KJV)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Friends, it is a deliberate decision to remain rooted in God’s truth especially when life applies pressure to shift our conviction. It is application in our faith, choice, hope, right living etc as the enemy begins to suggest alternative to God. Yes, we are in moment of turbulence but it is important we remain steadfast, unshaken, and committed to our faith in God’s strength, His truth and divine purpose. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Though, we go through pressure, opposition and challenges in the world, we must learn to stand firm and unmoveable because our love for Him is not in vain. Hence, this speaks of spiritual stability and courage being rooted in God’s truth and power. It is not a passive resistance but an active choice that we must hold on. Galatians 5:1- Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Interestingly, it is always challenging to hold on to God’s Word when situations contradicts your expectations. But, we must refuse to compromise in our values and conviction just like Daniel and his friends did in the furnace of fire. This can be possible as we remain faithful in prayer despite the trials, we shall still stand firm and do exploits, too. Hebrews 10:23 - Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) So, if we are grounded in the scriptures, know who God is to us with our new identity, we can then refuse to bow rather we shall stand firm like men and women of old. I pray we will continue to rely on the Holy Spirit as to stay connected to godly community in Jesus name.
