Guided and Ordered by Grace

 

Text: Psalm 37:23(KJV)

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Friends, we are in a journey of divine purpose and it takes God to order and guide our movements, daily. Then, when our steps are ordered by His grace, we experience unearned favour, wisdom and His divine strength that brings about productive living. Proverbs 16:9 - A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Yes, we need grace to go ahead of us, aligning our path with God’s purpose even when the journey seems uncertain. For instance, Abraham stepped out not knowing where he was going, but he was guided by grace. Also, Joseph was directed and grace ordered his steps through betrayal to the palace. Hence, we must learn to yield to his leading at all times because He orders and plans for the righteous man. Jeremiah 10:23 - O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Amazingly, we need to be confident by the leading of the Lord as God goes before us to take away any form of anxiety and that brings about progress without striving. Certainly, this brings about little efforts but great result. Psalm 119:105 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Though, when God orders our steps, it may not make sense initially but it is important we trust him and remain patient to His instruction. Yes, life brings about series of decisions but when we walk with God, our steps are ordered by grace, not by chance. Proverbs 3:5–6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart… and he shall direct thy paths. I pray He will continue to guide us even when we don’t fully understand the direction in Jesus name.

Father, redirect and prepare us to align in your way because when strength fails your grace carries us through the storms in Jesus name.
