The Promise of a Saviour

Text: Isaiah 9:6(KJV)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Friends, from the very beginning, God revealed His heart to redeem humanity by giving unto us His Son the Prince of Peace. So, God’s promise was not delayed, it was perfectly timed and delivered. Hence, the promise of a Saviour assures us that God does not abandon His people but He is ready to save us, daily. When humanity was helpless, God stepped in with His only begotten son. Galatians 3:16 - Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And till today He is still a wonder to the world of turbulence by His saving grace. Therefore, Jesus came not just to save us from sin, but to restore our relationship with God, as He brings peace to troubled hearts, and offer eternal life through the everlasting father. Let’s start a fresh walk with Jesus as we reconcile with Him in this season of good tidings of great joy. Luke 2:10-11 - And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Amazingly, whatever you are facing like fear, guilt, uncertainty, we must not forget that God keeps to His promises. Remember, the same God who fulfilled the promise of a Saviour is faithful to fulfill every promise concerning your life no matter the current challenge. Genesis 3:15 - And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. However, all we need is to accept Him, believe Him and confess Him as our saviour today and we shall begin to enjoy the benefit of a saviour in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus, the promised Saviour as you have been faithful across generations in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, God keeps His promises for our peace and hope of eternity. Cheer up!
