Text: Isaiah 7:14(KJV)
Behold, a
virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel
Congratulations and Merry Christmas to everyone
Friends, the name Emmanuel is a
promise as fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ. The gift - God with us is a
practical reality that calls for celebration as it can be visible around us
this Christmas season. The gift of Emmanuel reminds us that God is not distant
but right by our side. Hence, in every
joy and trial, He is a very present help in time of trouble. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth. Yes, His presence changes our circumstances,
strengthens our faith, and brings purpose and clear direction to our lives. So,
receiving this gift is not merely a celebration of Christmas party rather it
calls for daily acknowledgment that God is with us, guiding, comforting, and
reigning in our hearts.
Interestingly, it is not just a
title as God didn’t just send a messenger or a prophet; He sent Himself in
human form to dwell among us, to experience life as we do, and to provide
salvation, hope, and peace. John 14:27 - Peace I leave
with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. So, let’s
accept the gift Emmanuel just like the shepherds recognized God’s presence
immediately as they responded in worship. I encourage us to open our hands as
we receive this gift as to enjoy the peace, strength, guidance and eternity
that lives us with unending joy in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Lord Jesus, help us to fully embrace the gift of Emmanuel
in our daily life and never to limit His presence in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to acknowledge
His presence as a daily gift loaded for life and godliness.
