Lift up the Gates

Happy New of December

Text: Psalm 24:7-9(KJV)

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Friends, every new season opens to us as a gate. So, it is important we command and lift up the gates that stands against and for the new day, new week, and new month even the new year. There are spiritual entry points that determine what enters and what is allowed to happen. Hence, by lifting up the gates, we take charge and decide what flows into it. Isaiah 26:2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. Gates can represent beginnings, transitions, opportunities, and spiritual control points. Remember, whoever controls the gate determines what flows into the environment. We can open or close the gates in this new month, today. Yes, we can command this month to open with favour, blessings, peace and divine opportunities, too. Job 38:12-13 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place. That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

Amazingly, gates are places of authority and decision making centers, but God expects His children to take spiritual responsibility and speak His will into their day before anything else speaks. Let’s declare what God says. Psalm 121:8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. When we rise early to speak we command positive happenings in our going in and out and wickedness cannot alter it. Remember as believers, we have authority through Christ to decree what happens as we disarm the agenda of the wicked today, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, I decree that the King of Glory our Lord Jesus Christ will go ahead of us as His light will shine upon our path throughout this month in Jesus name.
