Text: Mark 11:24(KJV)
Whatever you desire
when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
Friends, one of the biggest error is praying
without expectations. Prayer is not complete with expectation. Hence, expectation
is the bridge between your prayer and God’s answer. The scripture above teaches
us that prayer must be mixed with faith if it will produce results by looking
forward with anticipations and you will have it. We must learn to be fully convinced
as we pray daily. So, to pray with expectation means to come before God in
hope, believing that He hears you, He loves you, and He will respond according
to His will. So, relax in His hands. Proverb 23:18 For
surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Let’s remember that God is able, and God will do what He has promised to do. Therefore,
expectation is not a life of arrogance rather a life of confidence in God’s
character. However, when we pray, God doesn’t just listen, He responds to us.
He is a Father who delights in giving good gifts to His children. James 1:6 But let him ask in
faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth
is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed
Amazingly, when we are expectant in
prayer, it aligns our hearts with God’s promises which activates our faith in
absolute confidence in God as it cancels doubt. Psalm
5:3 In the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly. This
shows that God is willingly, He is able, and He faithful. It opens our
spiritual eyes to see God’s hand at work and His capacity to do it that lives
us with the posture of hope and stability during waiting seasons. I pray we
shall be transformed from prayer as a routine to relational confidence in God
in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, teach me to stay in peace at my
waiting season with high expectations that God is able to do exceedingly in
Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember, to stay boldly and not in fear with God’s will.
