Joy with our Pursuit

 

 

Text: Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)                                               

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Friends, it is important we take a decision today on how to journey in this month of May. Therefore, let us not live in sorrow but in joy and rejoicing as our mouth shall be filled with laughter.  Life can be filled with uncertainties but choose to go with excitement and not with fear because there is an inner flow of Joy from on high as part of the fruits of the Spirit.  So, in any new opportunity, it is accompanied with Joy of the new but to sustain this we need to be intentional to continue with Joy in that journey as we preserve His oil of gladness. Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. So, as believers the Joy of the Lord is part of our inheritance as we walk daily with the master. We are in a calling into joy of the Lord not by our strength or circumstance. So, don’t allow the negative happenings confuse your disposition.

Interestingly, our joy today should not be based on perfection experience rather the presence of the Lord who lives in us. Roman 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Yes, we might not know the clarity of the things ahead but walking with Him builds confidence in us that it shall be well. It might seem unknown but remember, we are fueled from above. So, I encourage us to walk cheerfully for the Joy of the lord is ahead of us in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Father, I pray we shall choose joy instead of worrying in the new because of uncertainties in Jesus name.
