Separation for holiness

Text: Number 6:3-4(KJV)

He shall separate himself from wine and similar drink; he shall drink neither vinegar made from wine nor vinegar made from similar drink; neither shall he drink any grape juice, nor eat fresh grapes or raisins. All the days of his [b]separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, from seed to skin.

Friends, God is calling us as His children for a life of holiness and it is possible as we set ourselves apart from the societal norms. It is not just a physical isolation from the world that makes one to live lonely rather a life of separation from the values and choices of the world. Hence, we shall live a life of distinction that draws us nearer to God and far from the influence of the world. Though we are in the world but remember we are not of the world just by separation as the Lord called the children of Isreal to a Nazarite vow. Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you." — 2 Corinthians 6:17

Amazingly, this is a life separation from strong drink and wine etc. We have to be determined not to eat nothing that is made from vine tree neither shall razor come upon our hairs.  It is a consecration that draws us closer to God because He want us to live a life without spot in all we do both inward and outward. Yes, to choose separation for the Lord is not always easy but it is a devotion that brings us to the plan and purpose of God for man. And I pray we shall be found holy in all area of our lives in Jesus name

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, cleanse us and make ready for the masters use through this journey of separation in Jesus name.

Action Quote: Remember, there is a reward with God for a life of separation today.
