Offer without BLEMISH

 

Text: Leviticus 1:3(KJV)

If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the heard, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord.

Friends, there is a criteria to observe as we render our offerings towards the Lord as prescribed from the scripture above. So, as God’s children and for our seed to be acceptable to the king of kings, we must learn to follow the due process. Remember, it is an offer to the almighty and not to the priest, so we should not give any how offering. Hence, we are expected to give sacrificially for it to be honourable. Therefore, it requires an offer to God that is without blemish that means it shall not have spot nor wrinkle as an acceptable offering to God that reflects honour and reverence. Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. In addition, we must offer it out of our own voluntary will and not by compulsion as many offer grudgingly. God loves a cheerful giver from a debt of a genuine heart. So, the offering to the Lord must be our best. He weighs and sees the heart of the giver just like the widows mite.

Interestingly, God demonstrated a model of offering without blemish as He gave His only begotten as an offering for the remission of our sins through the blood of Christ as the perfect lamb. Hebrew 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hence, we must embrace the finished work on the cross that cleanses us absolutely both inside and outside even to generation yet unborn, as to serve the living God. I pray we shall learn to offer our all to God faithfully and with a joyful heart today in Jesus name.

1. Father, make us to offer a life of holiness and sincere devotion, so that our offering will stand as a memorial at the altar of fire that will yield sweet savour to the almighty today in Jesus name
