Rise to your possession

 

Text: Deuteronomy 2:24(KJV)

Rise ye up, take your journey, and Passover the river Arnon: behold I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite’ king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

Friends, there are battles we should not bother ourselves to fight meanwhile there are others the Lord has already given to us as a possession. They are sworn verdict. Deuteronomy 1:8 –"Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them." Yes, recollecting the children of Isreal in the journey to their promise land, though there were giants on the way, but they subdued by the hand of God. We need to allow God’s leading and learn to walk strictly in faith just like the children of Isreal after 40 years in wilderness they still possessed their inheritance.  The difference should be based on the leading of the Lord even as the Lord said unto them distress not the Moabite neither contend with them in battle.  Let’s overlook the distractors. Yes, there could be great people, tall and many like the Anakins even as giants, we should be careful what we pronounce as a wilderness in our pursuit in destiny.  Psalm 144:1 –"Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.

Amazingly, let’s remember, that the hand of the Lord are against certain situations to destroy them, so, do not waste your effort in some battles, rather allow God to contend. Exodus 14:13-14 And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.  We should allow God to fight for us because He can waste even a generations in a battle. So, ours is to rise up and journey with the Lord because we shall certainly pass over into the land which God has given us to possess.  I pray the Lord shall put the dread and fear of us upon our enemies, if only we can fight in faith and in obedience to God’s voice today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, grant us grace to take in and take action by your instruction as we journey through the land into the Promise Land today in Jesus name.
