SEEK THE ESSENTIALS

 

Text: Psalm 27:4 (KJV)

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

Friends, we must get to a point in our pursuit in life where we hunger and thirst for the essentials and not to neglect the vital needs for life. It requires desperate search with the right strategy to receive the intended result. It is an active involvement in looking for something. Hence, for us to obtain our set goals both in destiny and in career, we must identify that one need that will usher us to true and lasting solution for our personal growth. Unfortunately, we strive for success in wealth, social validation, temporary pleasures without going for the one needed thing for our real satisfaction. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." – Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

Amazingly, it start from our desire to seek the Lord with our whole heart that will keep us focusing after Him daily. By so doing, we create a time of fellowship and intimacy that brings us to a realm of beholding the beauty that is in this kingdom. Thereby, bringing us to a realm of victory and peace on every side. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things. But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Hence, the Lord as the light of our salvation will continue to hide us in his pavilion in the time of trouble if only we can seek for that one thing needful like Mary did by a thriving relationship at the feet of Jesus. And God will draw us closer today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, help us to engage with a curious and open mindedness in the things of the kingdom by building confidence in Him for the essentials in Jesus name.
