Keep Instruction

 

Text: Proverbs 6:20-21 (KJV)

My son, keep thy father’s commandment and forsake not the law of thy mother. Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

Friends, life is laid up with instructions which is a directive and guideline for rightful living. It can come from God, parents, advisers, mentors etc, but they are all essentials for our growth and flourishing. Often times, we think we know and reject the part of life.    Eph.6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Remember, they are commands and rules that guides our lives on a daily bases, so don’t ignore. However, we are to seek the stipulated dictates for our living. Therefore, we must allow the rules to take charge of our daily endeavours for a fruitful life. Hence, there are specifications for each day but we must yield ourselves to the warnings of the day because that is what keeps us away from the evil and the flaws of the season. It is wise we listen actively and be open as to keep instructions.

Amazingly, there are always instructions on how and what to do as a way out. It is often written in a book and attached with a product. They are advice and information for direction. So, as there are outlines, we must build the capacity to comply with the order. Remember, they are commandment of grace because they are bound with the ability of obedience.  Proverb 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. I encourage us to guide against the disastrous outcome as we align to detailed instructions by surrendering to God’s word in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Father, help us not to reject godly instructions as to avoid setbacks and failure in our endeavor in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember not to ignore instructions because we are tempted to disobey.
