Text: Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV)
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh
my help.2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Friends,
many people have chosen to serve and lift their eyes to different sources. But,
as His dear children, we have chosen to serve and focus on the living God. Although we have decided to serve Him, we still need to keep
our focus on Him especially in recent times where we have a lot of alternatives
as options and this is the area where many of us digress. But, the question is,
what is the first thing you look to in either a good or bad situation? But,
David said I will lift up my eyes to the
hills. Hence, where is your
confidence? Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the
LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which
your fathers served that were
on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye
dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Remember, it is an individual decision.
Unfortunately, when the expectation is for good, some people might say, “God, thank
you”, while many are too eager
to tell their friends and family first,
but when the situation is bad, they all run to God first; we need to change this
attitude. Think about it; your focus should be on God first, whether in good or
bad time. According to, Colossians 3:2- Set your
affection on things above, not on things on the earth. We need to
develop the habit of keeping our eyes
on God, and in so doing, His nature
unconsciously rubs on us. Keeping our focus on God and not on the problem makes
our thoughts fixed on Him, and we end up not struggling to get help from Him. I prayer we reposition and prioritize God
focus in Jesus name
PRAYER POINT:
1. Oh
Lord, please help us to set our minds on the things of the Spirit and not the
flesh, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to run to God first at all times and not at adversity
moments only.
