Don’t resist divine correction

 

Text: Job 5:17-18 (KJV)

Behold, happy is the man who God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: for he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.

Friends, as man, we indulge in a lot of errors but the good news is that God is there to correct us. But, we must be ready to yield to God’s correction process.  Hence, the good part is that we have a God who can correct our errors and can rectify our shortcoming in a short while but we must learn to follow. He is ever ready to help and amend our ways. He is a very present help in the time of need. So, we have to learn not to despise God’s disciplinary measures because it is in those directions that our corrections brings us to glory. Yes, it might seem hard, but it will end with happiness. Proverbs29:17- Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Interestingly, we must remember that the word of God is entirely for edifying, this is why our Father has subscribed that we have a daily dose from the Bible .2Timothy3:16- All scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.  So, let’s learn to be excited when God steps in to correct us as His correction takes us closer to our miraculous expectation because He sees the end from the beginning. So, be sensitive to His correction today in Jesus name.
