Text: John.15:7
(KJV)
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye
shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Welcome to August. We are in a new season and there is need to comply with
the dictates of the word, if we must enjoy the benefits of His inheritance. So,
abiding is attitude of remaining and staying put in His word that makes us to
dwell and yield great results. From the
scriptures above, the Lord has given us the key for answered prayers with
overwhelming results. As we can see, we are expected to set every day in
communion with God by prayers, set every day in the reading of His word and it will
grant us access to second hearing for fresh light in the word. Therefore, let’s
embrace the word with fresh zeal. Psalm 125:1 - Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount
Zion, which cannot be moved, but abide forever. It is the word that gain entrance into our
lives that can bear fruits of righteousness. Remember, our God is the true vine
and we are the branches. It is in
abiding that we can grow to enjoy intimacy with God.
Amazingly, there is no way a branch can
yield fresh leaves and fruits if it is abiding in the vine. So, if there is an attitude to cultivate now it
is to embrace His word and the Holy Spirit who is our greatest teacher in this
season. And, as we adhere to His words with absolute obedience from our heart,
we shall then ask whatsoever and it shall be done unto us. If a man abide, not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and
is withered: and men gather them, and cast them, and they are burned. Therefore, we should allow our spirit
to gain root downward by plugging our lives into the word of life which is a quickening
spirit all through this month in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1.Father, help us to develop a strong
and unwavering fellowship with Jesus for a deep influence to His will in Jesus
name.
ACTION QUOTE: Do not allow temporary stay in His presence as to enjoy His full
potentials.
