Authentic Relationship

 

Text: 1JOHN 2:1 (KJV)

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

 

Who are your closest friends because they can make you or mare you? So, we must be sensitive to connect with valid associates that will add value to one.  Yes, we can still find quality and real friends today despite the failed relationships. But, the foundation is love of Christ. There are people around you, that you should be completely honest to and also trust. Jesus our role model also had inner circle who were closest to him like John. Let’s learn to share your concerns to trusted friends who will not mismanage your information and sell you off. Therefore, we should not live in relationship full of secrecy and lies, you are bound to live unhealthy.  Friends, genuine relationship do not seek their own but the good of others at all times. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times,And a brother is born for adversity.

 

Unfortunately, we are in society were we don’t knit closely with genuine minds as friends. Though, we are in a face of popular misleading and false teaching where a lot negative things has crept into the society, church and families, but are encouraged to keep good friends despite the multitude of wicked friends. 1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Ultimately, we should not allow sin to hinder our relationship with Jesus who is our advocates that pleads our case before God. He also bears our punishment and set us free as his dear children. We receive grace today to live as a good friend to others in Jesus name.

 

PRAYER POINT:

1. I pray that the Lord will remove every barrier that is affecting our authentic relationships with others that limits our fruitfulness in Jesus name.
