Text: 1 Samuel 16:12(KJV)
And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a
beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint
him: for this is he.
Friends,
in every dispensation God is preparing men and women for the new task as to
bridge the gap. He is choosing servants in different places and positions and I
pray we shall meet God’s criteria for the now. The scripture above reminds us
when Samuel anointed David as the next king and he was chosen and commissioned
for the task ahead. Also, in some cases you are commissioned for respect and
honour to a seat, just like Queen Esther, Ruth, Joseph etc. There is need for
character as to do what is right which comes to us by God’s commissioning. 1John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of
him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same
anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as
it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Indeed, there is an oil upon you,
so do not waste it. It is a commissioning force for the new seat of authority.
Interestingly, the good news is
that you are God’s choice for the honour. Cheer up, for God has chosen you. He
has given you a new life and has transformed you into the image of His dear Son.
Eph.1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
him in love. Friends, let’s manifest Christ because we carry His gene
nature which is the anointing. We are commissioned not to fear as we have been
made glorious and now we follow Christ who is perfect and righteous therefore
this confidence is not in ourselves but in God in whose anointing we are made
victorious. Remember, His anointing cannot fail us in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, open our eyes to
understand the root of our salvation which encompasses all that patterns to
life and godliness in Jesus name.
