So, Stand Still

 

Text: Exodus 14:13 (KJV)

And Moses said unto the people; Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever

Unfortunately, man is faced with pressure on every side that makes us to be unstable in the pursuit of purpose. Yes, there are life concerns that makes us to wobble in times of decision which has made many to go the wrong direction.  But to standstill requires no movement or activity just like the traffic comes to a halt. But from the scripture above, fear comes as a torment that shakes our confidence in God, but we are commanded to fear not, but look unto God who is the author and finisher in any situation.  So, we are expected to be firm with a settled mind on our believe in God. Stand to relax, He can do all.  Psalm 46: 10 Be still, and know that I am God I will be exalted among the hearthen, I will be exalted in the earth. And this determination can only be possible based on our depth of intimacy and assurance that our God is more than able because no matter the level of wars He will make them cease and grant us victory at last.  So, let’s be encouraged to be calm to listen and we shall see the saving grace of our God in that storm. 

Interestingly, answers are all around us but we get distracted by the overwhelming challenges that removes our confidence on the capacity and the voice of God that makes us fix our eyes on the problem. We should take our position in faith today but do not fight yourself rather hand over to God as God stand with us, by us, before us and all around us in Jesus name. Remember, that little faith can make you to stand unmovable when you need deliverance. Indeed, looking at the problem you will lose confidence. Therefore, I pray we shall maintain an unwavering hope in God in Jesus name.

1. Oh Lord, help us to entirely build our dependent on God in all aspects of life challenges as we continue to endure in Jesus name.
