Text:
Acts 3:3-4 (KJV)
Who seeing Peter and John about to go into
the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastened his eyes upon him with John, said
Look on us.
There
are opportunities that come our way that we must express our worth. But it
takes our readiness as to demonstrate our gifts. Let’s therefore learn to
always get ourselves prepared as to meet opportunities that are ahead. It is an
opportunity to add value to someone because we carry a worth. For instance, Peter
and John had a routine of going to the temple to pray, and this faithful day
became a memorable day as they met with this man who was lame from the mother’s
womb. There are always needs around us, but God has bestowed in us vital skills
to be of help now.
Interestingly,
someone is looking up to you to receive a gift, so do not hide it. Don’t get
intimidated by other people's endowment, there is also a deposit of God’s gift
in you, and your generation is waiting for it. Romans
8:19 - For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God. You are an answer to someone's prayer.
There are many ways to be of help, which may add more valued and giving lasting
relief than silver and gold. All you need is a personal encounter that will
help you to express your worth today. For Joseph, he was a dreamer; for Dorcas,
she was of good works and giving of alms, including clothing. But for Peter and
John, just by saying, “In the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, rise up and walk”, strength came to the feet and ankle bones
of the lame man. Remember, the society
is in need of you contributing what you carry. And I pray, may those your gifts
and endowment end up bringing praises to our God and not self-pride, in Jesus
name.
PRAYER POINT:
1) Thank you Jesus, for so
many virtues you have endowed on us which our world requires, and may we not
fail you, in Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Friends, do not sit on your gifts, they are not all monetary for
relevance.
